Since it has been such a crazy week, this week’s list is a bit shorter. Here’s the top three things I’ve been reading (and listening to) this week.
Monday’s analysis of news and events from a Christian worldview by Dr. Albert Mohler included three articles on parenting in America. His words on parenting in the midst of the sexual revolution, and its implications on future generations is timely. Any parent would do well to hear his insight on these current events.
If you haven’t been keeping up with this developing story, TobyMac’s son passed away in October at the age of 21. This story of his tragic cause of death broke today, and as I read it, I was reminded of the important job I have as a pastor to teenagers and young adults in today’s America. So many face challenges I’m aren’t aware of, and as a minister of the gospel, I have the responsibility of stewarding the gospel to all who will receive it. Apart from Jesus, hope is impossible to find. With depression and anxiety so wide-spread among young people today, we need more people who will be present and share Christ with those around them. Will you join me in praying for the McKeehan family during this difficult time?
This blog from YouthSpecialties is a powerful reminder to the importance of walking through Scripture verse by verse with students. In my opinion, the benefits of teaching in this way are too important to pass up.
